A Show for the Blissfully Blind
I blink back
Painful tears
That I've held
Underneath for so long.
I suck in
Shallow breaths,
Letting them out slowly.
I pretend that
The people beside me
Are nowhere near.
They're in a place
Where they can't hear
The sobs;
The crashing
Of my tears
On the hardwood floor.
The bang of my knees
As they hit hard on the ground.
But there they are.
Standing above me,
Putting on a facade
Of fake sympathy,
But I can tell.
They don't see the
Darts hitting my mind.
The blood that drips
From my hidden heart.
They're blissfully blind.
