Love's Rebellion
A lovers’ tryst
Shrouded by a golden
Swath of fabric
Draped over two lovers.
She dons a silken cape of
Swirls, and butterflies
Set against his
Bestial, and geometric
Gown.
The sweet submission
Into the arms of her beloved
Leaves the pale, dark-haired woman grinning peacefully.
They grasp eachother in an oasis
Of a grassy hill,
Over a wasteland
Of charred earth.
The flowers in their hair and on the ground,
And the green of the grass
Belie the bleak background.
Their lips embrace,
The two mesh together,
And become
Under the glory of a simple kiss.
