Weather or Not You Understand
Heavy rain splatters on my foggy window all day
Reminding me what no longer remains.
See the water; drip, drip, drip,
With absence of sound
And worn hands holding delicate faces,
Sun is sought,
Like an understanding soul,
But my instinctive thunderous thoughts remain unspoken
So no wind blows lingering clouds away.
Sit, stare, at the cycling murky weather
Believing and knowing I’m a pessimist stuck in gray,
Alone in a world of smiling blue skies.
