Fly: A Poem
Warm and fuzzy,
I can almost fly!
There’s this s light within me
that makes me want to be around you.
A velvet hand upon my heart:
gentle, careful, yet strong and true.
My cheeks blush fire
when you say my name.
My ears right from the joy
that’s produced by the flame.
I’m nervous, yet anxious to see you again
and to never lose hope
Three small words, all I have to say,
before my heart explodes in disarray.
My pulse is wild,
my knees are weak,
and when I see you, I lose my will to speak.
My heart knows my dream, my cry:
to take your hand,
and with you, fly.
