Valentine
We traded fates…
But I wasn’t afraid
The justice of your anguish
Just made it hard to take
Life turns a bit sweeter
With blood like sugar
The air spreads thin
And through my faith
I find your whim…
We break teeth on broken hearts
The expression of hate finds its face
On worn out souls without a place
But this lost patron of the blood stained dress
Gives purity when none is left…

"We break teeth on broken hearts"
that line is amazing.
I love everything you have posted on here, especially "Porcelain Stars." To be honest, its one of my favorite poems I've read on the site. You put words together beautifully.
