La Playa
Such a beautiful place I’m at.
Waves crashing, sun beating down, the sand white and warm to the touch.
The water is so blue, so clear,
You look in it and see your soul looking back at you.
I look above me, I see a huge blue sky, white clouds.
So big, so vast,
Stretching on forever.
Soft wind licks my skin, salty taste on my tongue,
Rustling the trees.
I hear the birds shrieking, flying in circles so free.
Do they have any idea how lucky they are?
I hear muffled laughter, talking around me.
The slow, lulling medley of the ocean
Rolling up onto shore.
What a feeling to have.
How long have I been here?
Time seems to have stopped.
All my worries seemed to have melted away.
And I don’t have a care in the world.
What a feeling!
So relaxed, so calm.
Truly at peace.
On my beach.
