A Forgotten Dream
I could see him,
walking, flawlessly, through the thick haze,
his eyes searching for my familiar face,
ad at last,
our eyes meet,
his fingers caress the outline of my lips,
his hand falls to my chest,
he looks at me, a humorous glint in his eyes,
I force myself to take another breath,
my heart beats quicker,
with every passing moment,
as the clouds open up and rain upon us,
I feel his hands grab my face,
protectively and beautifully,
he leans close,
the smell of colgate toothpaste on his breath,
I reach forwad, begging for a kiss,
he puts one finger to my awaiting lips,
my alarms buzzes in my ear,
the image fades into my mind,
among a million other forgotten dreams.
