Angel, listen you your lullaby
Empty to your warm embrace
As that intoxicating whirlwind of memories
Surrounds my senses
A spectrum obscures my sight in an attempt to disguise
Those false pretences.
Bursting with a bright pulsating beam of light
It penetrates the depths of understanding
That is hidden from my sight
I’m listening to your lullabies
Hearing every string of lies
Seeing here, your ravaged life
You left fatigued with excess strife
What was lost, I seek to find,
Engulfed in the search for freedom that seems
To last an eternity.
The darkness that shrouds my sanity, the world
Lost in its prosperity.
Each figure overwhelmed, as the oblivion descends
Their movements dwarfed in a suffocating veil
Broken hearts and minds to lend.
Angel, come back down fro me
Seeker let the restless be
Soul-mate, make this torment cease
Saviour, let her rest in peace
