Days Go By
days go by
I see you in my dreams
I see you in the halls
You and I are in a sea of people,
but you stand out to me
We were lovers,
we were each other's bestfriends
together until the end,
or so I thought
I shared everything with you,
my first kiss,
my dreams,
my hopes,
desires,
and love
days go by
I see you in my dreams
I try to shake the image
I see you in the halls
and I look the other way
You and I are in a sea of people
but you stand out to me
Were you really kissing her when
you kissed me,
hugging,
touching,
or laughing,
When you said you loved me,
I believed you
but I know you said it to her too
days go by
but no tears come
I see you in my dreams,
and your memory haunts me
I see you in the halls,
and another piece of me breaks
You and I are in a sea of people,
but you stand out to me
What about all the times we laughed,
remembered,
and shared,
was it real
My love has yet to die for you
I think about our time together,
and apart
It ate us up
We forgot about our fantasy,
and have moved on to reality
the damp, cold stiffness you feel
when you're alone
days go by
and tears start to fall
I see you in my dreams,
and you never seem to fade
I see you in the halls,
and I remember what you taught me
You and I are in a sea of people,
but you stand out to me
