Alone
Here I sit in this crowded room,
Yet, I feel so alone.
A cacophony of voices rising high into the night,
yet, the voice I want to hear most is not there.
Hundreds of faces surrounding me in this endless night,
yet, the face that I want to see most, is not there.
I miss you.
With every fiber of my being.
Without you, I feel lost in an endless sea of noise and confusion.
I miss your smell.
I miss your touch.
I miss the feel of your soft lips pressed to mine.
Why is it that I am surrounded by all these people,
an yet,
entirely,
completely,
and emensly,
Alone?
