Brick Wall
i wish you would let me in.
let me see the real you,
and what molded you.
was it like play-dough?
squishy and fun to play with,
but easily crushable?
or was it like bricks?
strong and supportive,
that never fails?
what makes you act like this?
how come every time i get a glimpse,
you close the lid before i get a good enough look.
we can never be close
if we don't know each other.
so i'm letting go of you
you'll become a stranger once again,
a face in the crowd
that i pass on a daily basis,
but don't give a second thought.
goodbye...
