Rainy Night
A rainy night to some can seem so comforting, while it only makes me feel more alone. When you have no one to protect you the rain becomes so much more than just water from the sky. Ill stay up listening to the rain, hoping that it will wash away my fears but it always seems to make them louder in my head, echoing like the thunder. I’ll try to shield my eyes from the blinding lightening but it manages to find me anyway, reminding me I cannot always protect myself. The sound of the rain on the roof echoes the pounding in my heart, and the drops on my window resemble my tears rolling down my face. Soon the rain will stop and ill feel safe again, until another storm comes my way.
