To Win
Perfectious imperfections
 Lead me the wrong directions
Yet I don’t stray and follow anyway

Dreaming when I’m sleeping that I won
Feel like I just ran a marathon
But myself lost to everybody else

So all the pretty little liars
Hide and go seek peekers and spy-ers
Knew I was wrong all along

Seeing the light at the end
Right before it vanishes into pretend
Makes me curse them even worse

 Baiting me time after time
And I find myself still yanking the line
Maybe unfair but I’m still there

Tiny tease of the big prize
Only to disappear before my eyes
But I’m running steady still ready

 To win.
