Verses of The Children
They say the world is going to end
By man's intolerable greed
The gluttons alwaya choke on their bread
When there are billions more to feed
The rich get rich
The poor stay poor
The pigs scarf down their slop
And always ask for more
I guess Orwell wasn't wrong
People are like animals on a farm
The greedy pigs, the mindless sheep
The dogs that guard and keep
Their watch over society
As one percent rule ninety-nine
This insulting blasphemy
Is nothing short of a crime
The priests say it's just a myth
Then they force you rto pay a tithe
The soldiers sayu they're fighting for a just cause
Then they take a foreign child's life
The politicians say they'll restore our integrity
And then they lie
All of this is so messed up
It makes me want to cry
I'm not a junior fascist
I'm not a Hitler lover
I'm not a budding terrorist
Who is working undercover
I am a speaker for the troubled and confused
The children
Who, every day, see our own broken and abused
As well as our world, by its own kin
