The World's Princess
My little girl,
Innocently oblivious to the world she was born into

 My little girl,
too small and tiny and perfect
to thrust out into this life

 My little girl
 has hopes and dreams and
 she has childlike trust,
 and I will not let
the wrongly harsh words of strangers
 steal that from her

 My little girl,
 who's daddy calls her princess,
is happy and caring and beautiful,
 and I pray every night
 that she always will be

 My little girl,
for the first time I look at her
 not as my own,
but as a sweet bit of smiles
 belonging to everyone

 My little girl,
 the world's princess,
 with her frog prince

 Right there,
 constantly,
 Looking at her always

 My little girl,
 One day she'll wake up
and realize that what she wants
has always been right in front of her,
the princess will kiss her frog prince

 My little girl,
 the world's princess,
who's laughter tears me from myself
 and sets my back down
 in reality,
 looking at my little princess,
 my little girl.
