In Such a Powerful Way
Your not sure when this came to start
When the choices he made began to cut your heart
Slicing away until there wasn’t a trace
Until you felt no joy at the sight of his face
Until you cant find him within you
And your not sure you want to
Your love for him has ended
Because your world has transcended
Risen above his fake smiles and false words
What you’ve given him is more than he deserves
When you think of him all you remember is pain
And how because of him you will never bet he same
His every word makes you cry
But you don’t understand why
You’ve lost all sympathy
And instead turn to apathy
Then all you feel is hate
Happiness will have to wait
For the pain he caused you and the hurt still to come
All you want is to be numb
Immune from his lies and deceptions
He is all out of chances, no exceptions
He’s hurt you too many times, too many tears shed
Too many arguments run through your head
When you look past their lies and see true
You find there is no more forgiveness in you
