Tear Drops
Teardrops falling, raining down,
like rivers on a plain
so silently, and obviously,
revealing my secret pain.
Watching me, waiting,
how nearby to me you stand,
while in pain I wait,
wishing only to take your hand.
Your presence soothes my broken heart
like ointment for the pain.
You stand beside me, protecting me,
my shelter from the crying rain.
