Bon Voyage MAG
The snow covers
The ground,
Soft and smooth,
Interrupted by neat
Little footprints
North, south, east, and west.
Maybe I should make a new path
Through the snow,
A record of my journey,
Unique and all my own.
But I just stay
On the well-worn icy path,
Afraid that I might fall
While my story
Is swallowed by
The solid ground,
And I become just
One more traveler
With only a means to an end
And never an adventure,
And the only reason
I have for this
Is the desire
To keep my shoes dry.
