The Evening Pact
In this sunlit evening, cooled by the breeze.
In a grassy field, surrounded by trees.
We find ourselves basking in the sunset.
Ain't got no worrys.
Ain't got no regrets.
Just us all staring into the setting sun.
Just relaxing cause another day is done.
It's just the two of us now and the other "one".
The winds may change direction, but their song remains the same.
It just goes to show: we're all pieces of life's little game. Now we stand awaiting the stars.
Hoping to realize that faithful dream of ours.
As the last rays of sunlight fade away, we await "The Day".
I have a feeling we won't have to wait much longer.
The first stars appear and our pact grows stronger.
