White plaster,
Taking the shape of a mask,
Solid into a frown,
Hiding a human underneath,
One invisible to the world.
Another mask,
Was cast in a smile,
Another Being hidden.
Each person,
Individually feeling emotions;
Or just the mask speaking?
The sad plaster could be happy,
And the happy could be sad.
But was that possible,
For opposites to attract?
No so sure,
But maybe.
Misery does love;
Loves its company.

I looked at a picture of two masks, one was smiling and one was frowning with sorrow. It inspired me to write this. Hope you like it, and feel free to comment, criticize, and rate.

Everybody wears masks, be they figurative or literal. This is really good and the symbolism is outstanding!

This was great, I love even the subject of masks. I think we all have masks of society we wear. And, please, keep on writing!

Quick easy read. It's one of those poems you read and you just feel like you got slapped in the face then it's time to sit there and reflect. Don't take that offensively at all it was meant as a compliment! (:

Nice poem. You could probably improve on the writing a bit as it confused me, but the meaning was pretty good.

When I was describing the happy/sad plaster, I was really talking about the people underneath. They could have a mask on appearing to be sad, but underneath they could really be happy, and vice versa.

hmmm....interesting, good way to talk about the masks...but why must the sad face be happy? and why must the happy face be sad? they are both made from plaster are they not? so they shouldnt be able to move...or im misunderstanding something here.

I think that this was fabulous! I really like all of it, especially the last two lines; they were a great closer. Great job :)
