The Sickness
The sickness has struck my body.
It doesn't let me lift a finger.
I am paralyzed I scream silently.
Why is it that I can only think?
No words dare to escape my mouth.
I want to scream and run for help,
but I'm paralyzed I tell myself again.
Then I think paralyzed people can at least talk.
But how could I be sure?
There's no way of me finding out.
Why am I alive if I can't do anything?
I here a scream outside my body,
and I get up.
I realize it was all just a dream,
that will haunt me forever...
