Where Are We Going?
You pull me through the green woods.
I ask where are we going?
You grasp my hand to show me the way.
I ask where are we going?
Dark hand in light hand woven together.
I ask where are we going?
You thrust aside vines as we run through the forest.
I ask where are we going?
The sunlight turns the canopy golden.
I ask where are we going?
 To a magical place,
Where no one will find us,
Where the sun cannot reach us,
Where the leaves give off light,
 To show us our path.
 To a beautiful place,
Where all that surrounds us is peace,
 Where skin does not matter,
 Or set us apart.
We go to a new life,
 A new world,
 Where I can be me,
 And you can be you,
And we can be one another.
 Where are we going?
 To our perfect home.
