A Poet
All poets are unique
they have a rhyme and a heart
they can call their own
they can write to INSPIRE
or for THEIR own fame
everyone over looks them
And yet we are COMMON
we share experiences that are not UNCOMMON
which forbade us to sleep at night
so we cry and sing
hide ourselves beneath words
and hope for a better tomorrow
Words that cook in our heads
and cannot otherwise be shared
can all be solved on a lonely page
so MUCH is understood
yet little is COMPREHENDED
typed words are our voice
