Favorite Quote:
“Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.”

- Kahlil Gibran

The autumn wind blew soft and clear
it whispered in my waiting ear
It told me secrets old as time
I listened closely to their rhyme

I took the secrets to my grave
did not tell a soul,
They seeped up through the earth one day
and blew in the wind once more.

I actually wrote this when I ten years old. I was awake late at night at camp and missed my parents. I took out my notebook to write them a letter, but instead ended up with this poem. It reminds me of the crisp morning breeze that used to float camp, carrying dew and bird calls.
