Gninekawa
A cocoon opens its mouth
to sing an Opera of color
while daisies
dance, sway in the earth’s breath,
bobbing their heads to the sound of grassss.
The tulips are yawning, the
dew
dripping
down
their stems.
Trees stretch
in tall sun salutation
receiving its blessings
of warmth and nourishment.
I drink black coffee,
skimming the newspaper
brimming with bad news.
