!3 Ways to Look at a Broken Heart
|) Imperfectly beating
In your perfect chest
Is the body of
Your broken heart
||) Screaming
With hundreds of emotions
Pain and Sorrow
Remorse and regret
Lies a half of your broken heart
|||) The other half
Filled with desires
Desires of revenge
Not wanting to shed mercy
On the dame that made
Your broken heart
|V) Off beat in pain
With the sound
So similar to
The shattering of glass
With shards flying to and fro
Crash Bash, Crash Bash, Crash Bash
This is the sound, of your broken heart
Lying in bed wondering the same
Thoughts, over and over
“Why did she do it?”
“Will she take me back?”
“Does she still love me?”
This is the curious side
To your aching broken heart
V|) Acting all indecisive
In what to do in life
Move on happily
Or ignore all creatures
Is the difficult choice
Following your broken heart
V||) Grades are slipping
Coaches are questioning
Parents are asking
These are the things
That don’t really matter
School, sports, family
When your dealing with
Your swollen broken heart
V|||) You know she doesn’t matter
But now what do you know?
Certainly not where to go,
Or even what to do
These are the still indecisive
Choices you have to make
While dealing with
The pain of your broken heart
|X) When you call
When she doesn’t answer
When you leave a message
When she doesn’t call back
These are your hopes
Being destroyed in your broken heart
At the sight
Of her as she struts by
Leaves you feeling full of sorrow
Also full of rage
So you continue by
As she feeds
Your already full Broken Heart
X|) Your best friend warned you
She said your heart would break
Acting stupid, you didn’t listen
So now all she says, over and over
Is I told you so
You should have listened to me
You were foretold
About your broken heart
X||) Your heart is still aching
She’s still ignoring you
Your heart is still broken
X|||) It has been days
She hasn’t called
It must really be over
Your gonna have to be a man
Your gonna have to live
With what you have
What you have
Is your healing, broken heart
