Stupid Little Mistake
A stupid little mistake is what I seem to be,
Trapped inside this life full of misery.
I seem to be life’s only target,
insults thrown at me as if they each were a dart.
Lies share me no mercy at all,
They push me till I break, till I fall.
I am punished by life shall this be my fate?
Death is chasing me and I’m his date.
Slowly fading, my body weak,
Love and happiness is all I seek.
Only God can save this decaying body,
But Lord I don’t think I’ll ever be free.
I didn’t think I’d have to give up,
But this life I live is too tough.
I never imagined my adventure would end,
Though that was before every smile of mine was pretend.
I threw away my boring life,
I traded it for a sharp edged knife.
A stupid little mistake is what I seem to be,
My existence is fake as well as the breath I breathe.
