The pioneer’s paradise
wide plains
blue sky
Too bad it’s only
an on the road trip
no one realized
or came to see
the birds dip
or the deer
who didn’t look real
galloping after the butterflies
or the indians that
you could only see in your dreams
as peaceful
weaving beads through their moccasins

The feud between the Pioneers/Pilgrims and Native Americans has always saddened me and I wanted to note on it.
