My Enemy

Stress is a blue blanket;
I am smothered until I can move
no more;
stress is unforgiving;
the blue blanket splashes my face
like the ocean;
blinding me from what is real
and what is not;
it engulfs me in a pit of quicksand;
struggling only sends me deeper;
stress swallows me up into a world of chaos and disorder;
stress is my enemy.
