Before I Die
You’re what I see when I look through
The flames of a burning fire,
You’re the last thing I feel before
I drown in the icy water,
Your name is the last word
I say on the last day of my life.
I see, hear, and feel you everywhere
When I know I could die,
Because you’re always in my mind
Like a song I can’t stop singing,
To know I can’t stop thinking of you
Makes me wonder if true love is true.
I need someone to put out
The flames of my fire,
To save me before I breathe my last
Breath in the icy cold water,
To help me before my last day,
So that before I die that’s all I want to say.
