What If
What if?
I never hear your voice
Never see your face
Never again can kiss your lips?
What if
Time and distance
Gets the best of our patience
and from eachother, we drift?
Your internal beauty
was what first struck me
Your intelect kept me
Within you I live freely
Please I beg of you
Stay and don't go
Your all I want
Your love is all I know.
Though were thousands of miles apart
It is you that live within my heart
Look into my eyes and you can see it
Together we are, but only in spirit
What if spirit is not enough
To satisfy your need of love
Or to keep you content
In the thoughts of me
This is just another sappy love poem
Written for you in the absence of vain
So on your fourteen day leave
Take my hand
Place it on your heart
Savor the moment for it will be
Another two years before
I see you and you see me
What if?
I never hear your voice
Never see your face
Never again can kiss your lips?
What if?
