Lost and Found (Found Poem)
Finally
returned to its owner after being lost,
Finally
home.
Sucked in by the LosAngelesRiver, Spikey went missing.
He was found in a
daring
helicopter rescue.
He had to be
quarantined
before he could go home.
Videos all over Youtube, yet the elderly, Spanish-speaking owner didn’t know where her German Shepherd mix went.
Could the c l a i m of this dog be
f a l s e?
They couldn’t tell after the dozens of requests for adoption.
A family friend of the owner called in;
he
knew
who the lost dog belonged to.
Is there trust?
The dog went nuts when the man came to the shelter to identify the dog on behalf of the family.
So much renewed happiness thanks to the fire fighters who risked their lives for the dog’s life.
So much love for Spikey.
