Giggling Girl
I waddle around the living room,
My first steps.
Mommy and Daddy seem so proud
Smiling and saying “that a girl!”… I just giggle
My bestest friend ever is Hurley,
She mostly stays outside
But when she comes in she makes me laugh because I follow her muddy paw prints and try and bark like her…until mommy comes in and sees us both a mess, she just smiles
We go to the zoo, parks, and playgrounds to play
Daddy pushes me on the swings
And catches me down the slide…I just giggle
When it’s time to leave Mommy and Daddy sing funny in the car making me giggle and smile
I’m tired now so mommy dresses me in my pink night clothes that I got from grandma and grandpa
Daddy tells me a bed time story and takes away the monsters under my bed
They both kiss me
Lightly,
Gently,
Softly,
On my forehead as I finally does off to sleep
Until I want to play again
