Absent
?Absent?
Why were you absent?
You can’t be that sick
Mrs. Williams taught us where the monkeys live
The big apes, the ones with the silver blanket on their backs
Ya they live in the jungle.
I had to sit by myself at snack time.
Mommy was running in a hurry this morning after Joey spilled milk all over the table-
Ha that silly little boy
So I got marshmallows
During nap time I had to pretend I was asleep because you weren’t there to crawl and sneak around with me.
You are my best friend, without you my day is boring. I just want you to know I only tell all my secrets to you, and give you my candy too, even when I drop it on the playground. Before our mommies come and pick us up we always hug. You are like a sister to me and are my friend now and forever, thanks for always being there for me…oh and by the way, it’s my turn to be sick next week with chicken pox just so we call it even
