Evil of the Stars
When I look to the stars I see an inspiration that I simply just can’t seize.
Shining inspiration in the sky yet more frustrating than existing in ignorance.
I see desires that I can’t grasp,
they torment me with their beauty.
They shine as if to express their possession of wisdom.
Why can’t they stop?
Please tell them to shine no more.
My mind echoes like an empty cave with their torments.
Tell the stars to stop shining.
Hear my cries, oh please my love.
Help me snuff out the stars.
Harness their light and give it all to me.
For they merely use it for evil.
Though I will do no better,
I wish to be free of these echoing taunts.
They make me cringe, make me crawl, make me cry.
Please deafen my weary ears,
free me of this misery.
For the stars started as hope,
now they have turned to melancholy.
Tears fall as I scream into the night sky.
I curse, I holler, I beg and plea.
Come hold me in your arms,
calm my mind, sooth my heart.
Stare into my fading eyes,
convince me I am still sane.
Please, I beg of you my love,
never let me go.
For your eyes are the only stars that still possess a rare ability.
An ability to bring my frantic heart into peace.
Save me, love me, help me and wipe my tears.
Please hold me close,
hold me forever and protect me from the evil of the stars.
