Leave Me MAG
Everything you say and do
Another jab into the heart
That has long been dead
My sun rises and sets
On the prospect of a truly good day
I dream every night of a world
Where you choose not to leave me
But when I awake,
Alone and cold,
I know you meant what you had said
You weren't ready
You didn't want to be
A part of a family
That had been happy for so long
You searched for your own source
Of “comfort,”
“love,” and
“joy”
And all you found was a way
To make me lose all of mine
You are the catalyst
Of the years of regret,
Mourning and sorrow
That followed your inexplicable act
Of blatant greed
Please don't say
That you expect me
To succumb to your every will
After having done what you have done
And said what you have said
You have lied, hurt, and hated
Caused me endless sleepless nights
And pillows wet with salty tears
But I can't help but love you,
Even when you leave me,
After all,
You are my mother.

Beautiful!! I thought it was about a "lover". I was not expecting the ending. Very sad and good. Love it!
