Alright
Tear tracks written in stone on my face,
Feet ache from many too many steps,
My collar turned up against the wind.
But walking here,
On this twinkling summer night,
I know everything's gonna be alright.
My mind stopped thinking,
And my feet stopped chasing,
And my heart stopped loving,
A while ago.
But standing here,
In this warm summer rain,
I know everything's gonna turn out right.
My smile ain't real no more,
My fear ain't fake.
And you ain't around,
To tell me it's alright.
Yet I think to myself,
It's a beautiful night,
And I know,
That everything's gonna be alright.
