Predator
Somewhere out there;
lurking stealthily in the deep,
a malevolent shark prowls impatiently.
Its stomach rumbles and bellows
for it’s next unsuspecting victim.
Senses alerted to honing
in on its unfortunate prey.
With deadly accuracy;
and hypnotic blood-red eyes,
It observes no longer
moving silently and swiftly
in on its insignificant target.
His terrifying jaws open wide;
devouring; leaving no trace.
Its one hundredth kill.
One hundredth meal.
Belly and never-ending murderous obsession
both satisfied with a fixed deadly grin;
at the end of each new day.
