I see your face
Your smile
I run towards you
Actually… I sprint.
Your warm
Familiar
Arms wrap around me
I have my friend again
My other half
My best half
You tell me of the life I used to have
I tell you of the one I wish I didn’t have
And we understand
Separation, we know it’s not right
We talk and whine
And laugh and cry
And ponder the crazy things
Life has given us
Until the clock catches up to us
Until fate is mean to us
Until reality sneers at us
And your comforting arms
Fade away
