a letter to my wife
Everyday is a gift
Since I met you on that summer’s eve
Palms sweating, pulse at high, butterflies flying in my stomach.
I feel like im going to die.
But I have found at last, what I can say
Those years of searching and pain all lead up to this day
For my quest is done and im weary and dead
I may at last retire to my no longer empty bed
Am I dreaming? Pinch me please
She’s everything I want, everything I need
She’s an angel of the lord sent down to me
So that I may have a wife and kids and live happily
God I thank you for showing us the light
I praise your power and majesty
Everyday and every night
So I ask you..
Guard us and guide us, help us move on
As we begin a new chapter in life
Be a shoulder we can lean on
