Tormenting Emotions
It’s begun.
Depression and regret fill my heart
along with every emotion that loves to torment my twisted mind.
They laugh.
They point.
They cry.
Tears begin to fall once again
and my ability to maintain my sanity is slowly fading away.
I scream, I cry and I beg to be held in someone’s arms,
though I remember it was I who pushed those comforting arms away.
Please turn your eyes.
Don’t look at this mess that I’ve become.
Unless you wish to cradle me in your arms,
please turn your head and walk away.
Pay no mind to this broken creature that dug its own shallow grave.
