How Could This Happen

How a smile so strong, so spontaneous, so beautiful could slowly drift away.
How a once strong and confident girl could crumble into nothing.
How sadness could creep upon her and never let go.
How depression could wrap its cold, cruel, heartless fingers around her soul and never release her from its grasp.
How silence killed her slowly and love never really existed.
How this once beautiful, independent girl lasted so long before she finally had to let go.
