A Little Girl in my Heart
A little girl in my heart
She danced in the rain
Curly hair bouncing
You’d think she’s insane.
Little dresses of cotton
And small sandals for tiny feet
She runs through the garden
While birds chirp and tweet.
Her imagination soars wildly
Living in a world of pretend
Playing so innocently
And the day never ends.
She’s a princess at a grand ball
A glittering tiara on her head
Twirling around so gracefully
Soon it’ll be time for bed.
Her kingdom is endless
The prince is at her side
They take his white horse
And go for a peaceful ride.
The trees whisper secrets
Her dreams do come true
She believes in magic
Her whole life through.
Her doll sleeps beside her
As she dreams of far-a-way
Watch how she grows
Into a woman today.
