Wildflower
Every once in a while
You'll find field of wild flowers
You could look for hours for the perfect one
The one that will grow from dust and be everything that it can be
The one that will grow and stick along with the other wild flowers
The one that will stand tall and strong
The one that will withstand drought grow more beautiful when watered
The one that will stay late in the season when other flowers have given up
Though sometimes you'll think you have found the perfect wildflower
You'll be wrong, and pick it and keep it
Eventually it will fade with its color and die
Then you will come to find that it wasn't the wildflower you were looking for
But when you do find the perfect wildflower, you'll know
And you won't pick it, but you'll leave it and let it grow
Then forever more that will be your perfect wildflower
