Rain Will Not Fall
Who wants to read
A poem about his
Girlfriend, or a
Sonnet about the
Girl he secretly admires?
The Renaissance
Young Man in Love
Is still alive today
He sits and stares
When she flips
Her hair over her shoulder.
She sits at her desk,
With a love-lost mind.
How long has this
Been going on?
They both get their
Algebra tests back
From two weeks ago.
It must have been
That long at least;
Scribbled on their
Papers are each other’s names
Embraced by hearts.
According to Shakespeare,
They are madly in love
Because they both failed,
But rain will not fall,
For they still have each other
And the ridiculous love
Shared between them.
