What You Are to Me
Break through to the burning temples of my life
Cram all of everything into me with a knife
Love me like there’s no tomorrow
But beat me with endless amounts of sorrow
Treat me and care for me until the end of time
And then walk away as I think of how you were once mine
Swallow my mind in an endless stop of the world around me
Push me, squeeze me, and go on living without me
Build our love up to what you have said it would be
Then crush me down to the ground and leave me lying there hopelessly
Watch me live drowning in my own tears
And walk away as if you had never heard my voice with your precious little ears
