My Eye's
Don’t Cry, Don’t cry
is what my mother told me
even as i walked by the
The old lady resting in her
hospital bed, being rushed away
Don’t Cry, Don’t Cry
is what the nurse told me
when i seen the teenager
Swollen cut across his cheek
and oxygen tank in his hand
Don’t Cry, Don’t Cry
is what the paramedics told me
even as i watched
the empty beds being made
the past unknown
Don’t cry, Don’t Cry
is what I told myself
even as my dad
lay on his hospital bed
Broken
Against what was asked of me
I broke down and Cried
and finally i knew
sometimes it is good to cry
