After the bell rang
I stopped you
Outside the double doors
I decided to
Speak my mind
And tell you
I drew a big breath
And looked up
Into your eyes
And I did it
I told you
How I feel
You smiled when I was done
And I felt a tingle
Travel down my spine
And you then told me
I wasn’t the only one
Who felt that way
You kissed my cheek
But you had to go
I waved after you
With a goofy grin on my face
I realized that
My wish had come true
I had spoken my mind
And I was
Who I wanted to be
There was
Some Powers
In me after all
