Rebirth
Charred wood,
Blackened soil,
Encompassing the ruined barn.
Oxblood sky,
Suffocating the land.
Lifeless trees line the valley,
Branches sprawled—
Reapers of a better time.
Raven caws in the silence,
Scouring the land,
Searching for lost souls.
Wooden cross
Stands motionless:
Relic of a dying age.
Vibrant green,
A sliver of hope,
Peeking through
Scorched earth.
Sunlight pierces the ashen veil,
Illuminating stagnant pastures.
A fawn—weak-kneed and innocent
Ventures out.
Timid steps,
Cautionary pioneer.
Slowly life returns,
Radiating hope of Rebirth.
