The Epitaph of a New Generation
A death is the loss of a physical body
The removal of a soul
Mourning stalks the precious darlings
Like a policeman on patrol
They share their sorrow in silence
In cemeteries, a few
A solemn touch, in ancient times
For many dears would do
Now fast those times are changing
With invisible webs of air
Of Facebook, myspace, twitter
To those opposed beware
The virtual, disjointed cemeteries
Induce religious men to fall
A life so boldly ended
Remember by a quip upon a wall
Those once taken care of lovingly
Now cared for by all
A generation of connected woe
Cause many old to pall
Listen to our lamentations,
Silent, ringing out
Collective, having clout
Our world remembers the dead,
Online.

Brilliant.
The last line made me crack a smile and really raises this from the realm of decent poetry to the kingdom of extraordinary.
